Warning Signs for Women
  • Uncomfortable pressure, squeezing pain in chest that lasts more than a few minutes.
  • Pain in shoulders, neck, arms or even jaw. Mild to intense.
  • Pressure, tightness like a heavy weight.
  • Lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
  • Anxiety, nervousness or cold/sweaty skin.
  • Paleness
  • Increased or irregular heart rate.
  • Feeling of impending doom.

CHOOSE to be Heart Healthy

  • Annual check-ups.
  • 30 minutes of exercise daily.
  • Stop smoking.
  • Eat health.
  • Know your heart.

I chose the Go Red for Women campaign/American Heart Association as my platform because I'm an indirect survivor of cardiovascular disease. If I didn't know the warning signs, there are other people that are missing those same warning signs. It's time to be PROACTIVE, not REACTIVE.
