Warning Signs for
Women
-
Uncomfortable pressure, squeezing pain in
chest that lasts more than a few minutes.
- Pain in
shoulders, neck, arms or even jaw. Mild to
intense.
- Pressure,
tightness like a heavy weight.
-
Lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea
or shortness of breath.
- Anxiety,
nervousness or cold/sweaty skin.
- Paleness
- Increased or
irregular heart rate.
- Feeling of
impending doom.
CHOOSE to be
Heart Healthy
- Annual
check-ups.
- 30 minutes
of exercise daily.
- Stop
smoking.
- Eat health.
- Know your
heart.
I chose the Go
Red for Women campaign/American Heart
Association as my platform because I'm an
indirect survivor of cardiovascular disease. If
I didn't know the warning signs, there are other
people that are missing those same warning
signs. It's time to be PROACTIVE, not REACTIVE.
